Sustainability in the Wismeyerhaus

Sustainability, environmental protection and responsibility for a future worth living are particularly important to us. For this commitment, the Alpenvereinshotel Wismeyerhaus has been awarded the Environmental Label for Tourism Enterprises by the Ministry of the Environment. We are constantly developing our sustainability concept – with a focus on regional and organic products, reduced water consumption, careful waste separation and the conscious use of cleaning and auxiliary materials.

Compliance with the strict environmental criteria is checked regularly. The Ecolabel is already the second award for our consistent commitment to environmental protection.

ÖAV environmental seal of approval

The Austrian Alpine Association is committed to the preservation of the mountain world. Partner businesses should be role models for practising environmental protection and sustainable management. The following criteria, among others, must be met for the ÖAV environmental seal of approval:
– Identification with the basic values and the Alpine Association’s hut regulations
– Environmentally friendly, energy-efficient operation
– Compliance with all legal requirements
– Adaptation of new facilities to the current state of the art
